The Wine: Tapiz is a longtime Mendoza producer known for high-altitude wines that balance precision with easy charm. Tapiz Sparkling Torrontés is made from 100% hand-harvested, sustainably farmed fruit from the San Pablo vineyard in the Uco Valley. It is fermented as a cool stainless-steel base wine, then made by the traditional method with secondary fermentation in bottle and 8 to 10 months on the lees before disgorgement in an extra brut style.
It is a fragrant, finely structured expression of Mendoza, opening with aromas of citrus, white flowers, and peach, lifted by a delicate tropical note. On the palate, it is crisp and finely bubbly, with bright acidity, floral fruit, and a refreshing finish that remains clean, zesty, and lightly toasty from its lees aging.
