Fuso Cala Macerato Bianco (Orange)

FUSO is importer of PortoVino's project to bottle Italy's natural daily drinkers. Cala is made by Dario Serrentino from a single hectare of red sand and clay at 400 meters outside Partinico, northwest Sicily. 100% Catarratto — the indigenous "Extra Lucido" clone — organically farmed, picked early for acidity, and about 50 hours on skins, finished in steel. Apricot, melon, orange peel, dried flowers, sandalwood, a salty snap. "Cala" means "gulp" in Sicilian. Light, savory, made to drink.
