Les Petits Fers is the flagship Gamay from Division-Villages, the bistro line of Portland's Division Winemaking Company — Kate Norris and Tom Monroe's low-intervention project built on the wines they learned to make in Beaujolais and the Loire. Now in its eleventh vintage, it's 100% Gamay from cool-climate Oregon (and Washington) sites, made like a Beaujolais-Villages with carbonic and semi-carbonic maceration for maximum lift and juice. Bright and expressive: crushed red cherry, wild strawberry, and pomegranate with violet, white pepper, and damp earth, energetic acidity carrying fine, lightly grippy tannins to a clean mineral close.
