About the Wine: Precise and pure on the nose, with strawberries, red cherries, blood oranges, flowers and spices. Firm on the palate, with dusty tannins, crisp acidity and a medium body.
About the Producer: The Cortese family works eight hectares around Barbaresco, much of it in the celebrated Rabajà cru just below their cellar and family home. This is traditional, small-scale Piedmont: hand-harvest, long fermentation, and extended aging in Slavonian oak. Before starting his own winery, Giuseppe Cortese spent years as cellar master and vineyard manager for some of Piedmont's most prestigious estates.
