From Luigi Oddero in La Morra — a Barolo house that has labeled wine since 1878, now led by Lena Oddero with cellarmaster Francesco Versio, formerly of Bruno Giacosa. Convento is their second Barolo, bottled only in strong vintages from estate parcels they'd otherwise sell off, named for the 17th-century convent that became their cellar. 100% Nebbiolo, native-yeast fermented, 25-day maceration, two years in Slavonian botti — no new oak.
