Ca'Marcanda Promis Toscana Rosso 2023
In stock
About the Wine: A deep ruby red with purple hints super-Tuscan. Aromas of dark fruit (blueberry and black currant) with pepper, licorice, and a note of cocoa or coffee. On the palate, it is fresh and juicy, with fine, silky tannins and a lively tartness. Medium-bodied, fruit-driven, and approachable now (does not need cellaring).
About the Producer: Ca'Marcanda is the Gaja family's estate on Tuscany's Bolgheri coast, founded by Angelo Gaja in 1996 after a long negotiation for the land. The name means "house of endless bargaining." Gaja built its reputation on precision farming and disciplined cellar work, using only estate-grown fruit.
